Akron,O. in a circle on the front..On the back at the base it says F.I. Co. The seam stops well down the neck .I would appreciate any info especially the age..Thanks Norene..

There are a handful of brands of vulcanizing solution bottles from Akron, in different sizes, in both clay and glass bottles. I think they might have been for patching tires. I have yours in a larger size with some original residue inside, and it must qualify as my stinkiest bottle.

This bottle also has some residue and it DOES stink. Is anyone able to pinpoint the dates this company was in business? I have a 4 way bet...for a cold beer on this one. So I may win 3 beers or lose 1..(Empyting bottles for future generations)..Ha Ha..Thanks..Norene

It was used to join the ends of conveyornbelts and large drive belts made of rubber. Today it is used in retreading tires and joining belts and such.

All I could find about the company was that Westinghouse bought them out.
