Two more Hire's bottles have since popped up on eBay that are marked W.G.Co.

I have another that needs identified. It reads: " W Mg C"
My first guesses were Wm McCoy, or a W. Mfg. Co.
But there is no 'O' following the C.
The embossing is faint, so it doesn't show well in photos.
The closest match on David Whitten's site ( https://glassbottlemarks.com/bottlemarks-5/ ) is:
  • W.McC.& CO……….William McCully and Company, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (1841-c.1909)
but the bottle doesn't remotely match with any of the ones that come up when I google William McCully.

Hi Cole,
William McCully (& CO) operated for a very long time and the company made thousands of different bottles of every type and shape over the years. No doubt a number of mold makers made the bottle molds for them and the exact initials (engraved into the inside of the molds) varied quite a lot. Here is an article by Bill Lockhart that covers the known McCully mark variants. And there are a lot! It would not surprise me if there are other minor variants not yet recorded.
Check out page 286, figure 31 on this PDF file:

Of course that's not the same bottle, but pretty close to the mark on your bottle.
I think the small "g" on your bottle was meant to be a "c" but the mold engraver made a minor error and formed it as a G.
