I recently picked up two druggist with pictures I had not seen before.

Here is a new one with great graphics. Dr. W. C. Kline Druggist [man stirring p&m] Myerstown, Pa. in a nice large 8 ounce size. My pic cut off the lip but it is in great condition. Stephen

I was surprised to see one bottle with such a graphic, and doubly surprised to see there are two different druggists using it! I still do not know exactly what the thing is (Devil? Indian?). When I looked at yours I saw a possible connection. Both druggists were in Cincinnati. A quick check showed me that Wilmot J. Hall & Co. opened a store in 1885 on the corner of 4[sup]th[/sup] and Elm. Earnest Wilfert had a store on the corner of 4[sup]th[/sup] and Walnut. In 1893 Mr. Hall bought Mr. Wilfert’s store and ran both. My guess is that your Wilfert’s bottle was the first with the graphic, and then Mr. Hall started using it too once he bought Wilfert’s store. I have slowly been inventorying all my druggists. I will try to get some pictures posted of any I have not seen yet on this thread. However, I still need to play around with a camera to get some better close up pictures. I did a slide show at my local bottle club meeting last night and members were amazed at the possible variety of druggist bottles that exist.
