Probably a candle holder that fit into a decorative metal rack. The design wouldn't work as a line insulator.

FLES MARKET 25CENTS...THE MARKS IN THE GLASS REMIND ME OF THE MATKS I SEE ON INSULATORS .I DIDNT THINK IT WAS A INSULATOR BUT I THOUGHT JIM SINSLEY MIGHT KNOW...THANKS EVERYBODY...

Why, if it's a candle holder, is it so irregular-looking? I see swirls and bubbles too. Usually see just coloured glass.

Mexico, China or something, I'm with Mo. I've seen a lot of similar stuff in those fireplace wire rack things.
