What kind of Jar is this?

I have quite a few of these tall skinny jars was just wondering what it was and is it worth keeping?

That was made by Owens Bottle Company. Mark first used in 1919 and was phased out by 1929 or 1930 when the company became Owens-Illinois. It's a rather common bottle. Could have been something like condiments. I've seen dozens of them in one spot. But if you are into bottles from that era and don't have many yet, it's something to keep.

I agree with WPA-C. It's a condiment or utility jar and I tend to lean toward an olive, pickle or preserves jar. Although the vast majority of olive jars I have uncovered had a smaller diameter, I can't rule that one out. However, it could also have contained products like preserved cherries or strawberries, etc. Anyway, if you're finding a lot of them, it appears to me that they could have used a lot of whatever the jar contained. I don't know if this helped, but a jar like that could have held a lot of different things.

Ok thanks for the info what kind of closure did the jars use?

I believe that the closure was a rubber lined cap that snapped on. Probably made that way to prevent reuse.
