White Jar????

A friend of mine gave me this jar for my collection. I have no idea what it is. Maybe a thermos liner or something. It looks like a beaded neck seal jar but its made out of pottery.It has no markings on it anywhere. I like it so Ill keep it. I just wonder what it is?
