The vast majority of my aqua blobs and hutchs are 2 1/8-2 1/4 inches wide at the base.
However I have 5 aqua bottles with broken necks - four with the same address - which are 2 3/4 - 2 7/8 wide at the base. I don’t have a scale but they are clearly much heavier as well. Finally, they appear at the broken necks to be thicker glass as well.
one of the 5 does specify “white beer”.
Di these differences mean anything? Are they indicative of age? Or usage? Or just different manufacturers?
Thanks for any help

Thicker by design because of carbonation? But I can't imagine quality control or consistency was the same back then.
