This i have been told is a rare find it is a green olive color and has writing on the front saying "The Rob't Nesbitti Ricin Co. Phila. PA. was just wondering if any one has any information on this company or bottle

yes , that is a poison. RICIN is actually a very deadly poison.
There is a larger version of that bottle that is more common but they can still sell for about $40-50 in good condition.

I wonder why this stuff was made. What could it be used for? Just breathing in the powder can kill you.

its been used for assasination at least once...
I expect this was a less concentrated mixture.
May have been used as pest poison.

Ricin is extracted from the common castor bean... Can be produced using typical kitchen equipment... Suspected of having been tested by Al Qaeda and on the to-do list of several U.S. supremacist groups... Nice bottle...

I would go along with the pest poison. Although the pests of the past were alot bigger. My dad used to bait Muskrats & Fox. Ranchers and farmers baited wolf,coyote,cougar,grizzly,nosey neighbors, etc. Nice rare bottle. Great color.

That is a nice bottle! I have a RICIN too, but a different company made mine. Not sure on values I'd guess $20 to $50.
