Wooden Case of 40 lightning top Anheuser Busch Brewing Assn Lynchburg VA

I recently picked up this cool wooden case with 40 bottles. There are two types of lightning top bottles with the circular logo / trademark in the middle or shoulder of the bottle. The case and the bottles all state that they are from Lynchburg VA. I can't find much info on these bottles, but I was told that they are much rarer than other branches /states.

The bottles are embossed "Lynchburg Branch Trade Mark (A& Eagle trademark - with its wings folded back) Anheuser Busch Brew Assn Lynchburg VA"

I think the case and the bottles are from the 1890s, but I'm not sure.

Please provide any info that anyone has on these.

Additionally, I might be interested in selling/trading some bottles and/or the case, so I'm interested in value and where/how to sell.

Very cool, it is rare to find bottles that in old in that quantity in the original crate! The ones on the left look like they might be crown tops. HERE are a few different variants listed.

Am I right about the date? Any thoughts on value or where to sell? I'm not really a beer collector and I figure there must be people that collect old bud bottles etc.

Hello miamimaritime. One of the Lynchburg Anheuser Busch bottles just sold on Ebay for $364. Ebay is a good source for info. and selling your bottles. If you would like to see the bottle that sold, go to ebay. Type in Lynchburg Anheuser in the search bar. Scroll down a little and to the left you will see completed and sold. Select either one to see the bottle. This one did sell for $364, but some could sell for less depending on want and demand. The other bottles you might find on there as well. Virginia bottles are pretty hot right now. Hope this helps you out. RC
