From what read there were only 5 known as of Dec. 2022
that could make this pot lid #6 !

Gorgeous lid! The "less than 5 known" is the rating from Barbara & Sonny Jackson's 1987 book, not a rating from 2022. Unfortunately there has been no update to that book that I am aware of; there are a number of American lids that have surfaced since then that are unlisted in that book. Definitely a super scarce lid, but there are a few more than 5 around so far as I have seen. Congratulations!

And thanks , I would have thought there would be others .
It’s a really nice piece ! When I get some of other things cleaned
up from the historic dig in down-town Danville Pa
1830 - 1840’s

Very nice and scarce pot lid / there are 2 sizes of this lid.
Getting back to the other one , seen only one like this one .
Been told about the other one , not seen one .
Yet ! Any pictures of the other type to be had ?
