I moved north from Florida about 4 years ago and never unpacked everything. I was looking for something in storage yesterday and found my box of bottles. I unpacked and found this one in there. Funny thing is I have absolutely no recollection of when and where I got it. I must have bought it right before I moved because I really don't remember it at all. I definitely picked it up in South Florida, possibly in the keys and I almost definitely got it a flea market. All that aside, I can't figure out what it was or when it would date to. The swirling in the patina makes me think that came out of the water. Judging by where I lived, probably the Atlantic Ocean but if I did get it when I was down in the keys it might have been the Gulf. It looks to be crudely made. I can't see any pontil mark but it's possible that if there was one, it was worn off by sand and time. The lip is a little odd as it appears to be rolled inward. Anyone have any thoughts on it? Also, I was considering throwing it in the tumbler. I do like the swirls but there is a lot of white mineral build up inside, so I may just tumble the inside and leave the outside alone. Any thoughts on that?
