Ok, thanks, I was under the impression that all bottles were supposed to have the city/state embossing after a certain point (1920 maybe?) but guess there were some sold without.
BUT, I do have another thing to add to the original Hobbleskirt post. I found a second bottle (well, most of a...
Greetings y’all! So awhile back I posted about a Coke bottle I had found here in New Orleans… I encourage you to check out the post if you haven’t seen it, it was quite the epic discussion. So I have come across another bottle—from the same lot in fact—that has been puzzling me. Looking back on...
(accidentally posted this in wrong section previously—apologize for the duplication!)
This is the second one of these bottles I have found, can’t find any info online. Located in NOLA. please help!

Found this one the other day. While I am pretty knowledgeable about the hobbleskirts (thanks SODAPOPBOB and hemihampton!!) I know very little about earlier Coke bottles. This one looks to be in pretty good shape. Any info (year? worth? Anything unique to look out for?) would be appreciated.
Dug this a few weeks ago...it's blue, it's got a skull and crossbones, so it's cool to me already--but wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it?
Thanks mingoman64! I also love this entire thing, I have learned way more about Coke bottle collecting than I ever guessed I would know....but it still drives me nuts that after ALL of this the conclusion is.....nothing, no one knows.
So the started actually producing and selling the bottles in Nov 2015? That’s what it says here. So then theoretically....a year of Root only manufacturing would end in Nov 2016...which isn’t the end of the year....(you can see where I’m going with this, right???!)
