A new book added to the collection...

Because I collect 19th century medicine bottles I get tempted to buy home remedy books from the same period ;) I just purchased Cox's Companion To The Family Medicine Chest and what is interesting is that it has 6 pages of labels to cut out at the back. I have never seen that before.

John - The problem is that here in the UK the banks charge a minimum of $12.50 for paying in a dollar cheque. Converting dollars to UK pounds and then back again to pay our US hosting service is not very practical either. Working through a good friend's PayPal account is one way but I have...

Have you seen a pontil like this before?

This is the pontil on a 18" fisherman's float, is it modern do you think?

Have you seen this Irish bottle?

Have you seen this Irish bottle before or something similar? Can you help identify and date it? It is green glass embossed with an image of St. Patrick bordered by shamrocks. It was found in the foundations of an old farm house in Ireland.

    What do you think?

I now think it may be mid to late 20th century too, but I don't think it is Blenko. There are absolutely thousands of small to medium size bubbles in the glass which I haven't seen in Blenko (maybe I haven't seen enough [:)] ). Looks like it may have been blown by an apprentice but what's...
