    I collect veterinary bottles and, if you are looking for the early ones (pre-1880), they are very hard to find no matter where you live. That said I know of only one company selling vet meds made here in Louisiana. Dr Sylvester out of New Orleans and those are more like 1920's.

    Lederle Bacillus Acidophilus Milk Bottle

    It is called Lactobacillus Acidophilus now. It is what is now called a probiotic. They really did not know about all that back then but knew it helped with diarrhea, especially in folks that are lactose intolerant.

    Tobias Venetian Horse Liniment variations

    Yes, the oval ones are the human ones....containing the exact stuff :-) The Horse liniments show up on eBay regularly and usually for low prices. The smooth base, applied lip version is the most common.

    I have a few variations on Venetian Horse Liniment...smooth base, hinge mold, open pontil, 'flint' glass. I am trying to find an iron pontil one, if there is one out there. Jim Holst's Liniment book lists it as a possibility. Anyone ever seen one?

    Looking for veterinary bottles

    Last one for tonight. This arrived today...Mathewson's Horse Remedy It is in great condition and has a huge pontil that keeps it from standing without a wobble.
