Wanted: Wm R Warner & Co. Pint Square or Oval Bottle

It is very similar to what I have but clearly different. I am looking for 7 1/2 to 8 inch 16oz examples (see attached). Your example appears to be smaller with rounded shoulders. Perhaps a 12oz? Thanks for sharing.

    Bottle Lamp

See attached pictures. Story: Yesterday I was shopping at my favorite honey hole and there is the lamp area. Just the typical cheap thrift store lamps. But wait….. notice anything? You need a keen eye…. What’s this? Let’s remove the ugly 1960’s shade and what do we have? Let’s remove the...

Rushton & Co. Chemists New York Bottle

Thanks Roy, There are a few 10 1/4 inches tall "RUSHTON CLARK & Co. CHEMIST'S, NEW YORK" bottles that have sold at auction but your 6 1/2 inches tall RUSHTON'S and my 6 1/2 tall version may be the only examples. Does anyone have a reference book that shows these bottles?

    ID dug 1860s Cathedral Pickle

Below are only Keyhole Pickle Jars that made it to a major auction. Pretty rare. And these are both 8 1/2" versions but it gives you an idea of the range depending on the color and grade. If indeed the 11.5” version is even more rare north of $1,000 definitely and over $2,000 is possible with...

Rushton & Co. Chemists New York Bottle

I can't find any information on this particular 6 1/2 inch "Rushton & Co. Chemists New York" bottle. Has anyone out there ever seen another example of this bottle? Is it listed in any reference book? or am I holding the only known example?

I need some help with this one.

I own a few calabash bottles and have seen and held dozens more. I'd vote for "Glass Blow 100 student's first effort". Just poorly made all around.

    M. J. & Co. bottle ??

You all did so well with the last embossing mystery (RC&E = Reed, Carnick & Edwards) let's try another. This bottle stands 8 inches tall and holds 16oz. It is BIM with a tooled prescription lip. Across the front in a square is "M. J. & Co." The period after the J is faint but it is there. I...

lets play the forum's favorite game: NEW or OLD? Open pontilled free blown pitcher

See attached. Very similar glass and handle. Definitely contemporary art glass in a size made for tourists. We see a lot of this stuff in thrift stores near the border which again leads me to think they are Mexican in origin.

    Help identifying cobalt blue bottle.

Probably a Tilden & Co. Extract Bottle. See 1st pic with label. The ring around the shoulder is a characteristic of Tilden bottles. The pint sized bottles come in at least 3 colors (see attached). Dark Amber, Cobalt blue (like yours), and Cornflower/Light blue. The Dark Amber is embossed TILDEN...

lets play the forum's favorite game: NEW or OLD? Open pontilled free blown pitcher

The color doesn't look right. The handle doesn't look like the way they used to pinch them on. The handle doesn't even line up with spout. It is just poorly made all around or made to look that way. Of course, I always like to handle and feel a piece to be sure but I would guess it to be...

What would you call this type of bottle?

I had not seen the 1909 catalog but it made me go take a look at my 1878 Van Schaack Price Current Catalog. See attached pages. Page 21 in the 1909 Illinois Glass Catalog indicates these bottles have "prescription" or "extract" lips (or finish). Both catalogs indicate these are "Round...
