Goodmorning bottlehunters!
I had someone ask me if this bottle is iron pontil or not. I know it was made in the 1850-60s and I’m pretty sure it is but someone was curious if it was a “snap base” or early mold blown.
Thanks ahead of time!
I saw this mold blown Lysol today nice honey amber with widdled glass. I’ve dug quite a few but never seen one like this . It was listed at $40 should I pick it up?
I’ve got an early Richmond,VA cobalt pontil squat with the misprinted N made to an M. I’m looking to trade for Nashville blobs or flasks. The bottle is in great shape no chips or cracks just average surface wear. It’s a dark midnight blue.
I dug this bottle a couple of years ago in the DC/Maryland area and haven’t had any luck on identifying it’s origins. No markings on the bottom just Charles Scherer embossed on the front panel. Anyone have an idea of who this guy was?!
I dug 4 glazed whiskey jugs the other day! All were inside what appeared to be a big barrel or cabinet in the ash layer. I popped out a a couple paper labeled bottles that were inside as well that are mildy still intact which usually blow away in the wind with me. Just thought I’d share happy...
I dug this beautiful bowl and the mark is quite faded, but is still somewhat readable. I searched for quite a while and was hoping someone might know something!
If it helps a lot of the stuff seemed to be imported from England.
I found my first poison about a month ago and had a couple questions.
There are tiny white flakes blown into the glass does anyone know what it may be?
Also it has some out of place embossed dots around the shoulder and sides that aren’t uniform is this common?
Thank you ahead of time
I’ve been hunting/collecting for a couple of years now and I’m obsessed with D.C. saloon flasks. I have 14 of roughly 160 known saloon flasks 7 of which I have found. I have quite a few DC milks and pre pro beers/sodas I might be willing to trade as well.
Thank you for your time
Best regards
Harley
