Rick, you can use a program such as Photo Shop or IrfanView to color it puce. Leave it as she drew it as that will be your and her memory of it. Can't change what is not meant to be changed. Just my opinion and you know what opinions are like... cause everyone has one.
H-B Rick! BTW, just remember that you've still got a long ways to catch me[:)] I think that sometimes I feel as old as the dirt that we dig in. Feeling pretty good these days though. A good dump or a privy would probably do the heart good for the both of us. Might even find a few good bottles...
This is a iron pontiled M. Mc Cormack from Charlottesville, Va that I dug 4-5 years ago. I always liked this bottle but I guess I didn't like it enough because I sold it less than a year after I dug it.
Thanks Steve and thanks for bidding on the umbrella ink on ebay. I'm planning on being in Baltimore. See you there. BTW, I didn't get your message until too late and the ink went out in the mail today. It's a beaut and you should get it by Tuesday or so.
I see that you remembered that I dug that AMI Cadet Charlotesville, VA (Albemarle Military Institute) button. What's interesting is that it is a $500+ button and I just sold it on ebay this week for less than $75. I found it in the dump that I was digging in Staunton, VA, but it was all...
Steven,
Everyone here is doing fine. Since our move nearly 2 years ago I haven't taken much time to dig or post. That doesn't mean that I haven't been busy. My son, who is now 7-1/2 keeps us quite busy. He has become our focus.
We now live in an area that is loaded with wonderful 18th and...
BUMP
I thought that I add that all non-book items were dug by me in the somewhat famous c1890's dump in Staunton Virginia... AND
SHIPPING for Forum Members will be just $1.00 per item, including books, even though the listings may say differently. JUST let me know at auction's close or after...
I Haven't Been Digging or Posting Much Lately, but I look forward to doing so soon and I can't wait for the Baltimore Bottle show coming up in March. Here are a few items that I have currently listed on the Bay to help clean up and clean out what little I have left from digging in the past...
He has obviously sold nuked coke bottles and nuked bottles that have been turned purple without listing this in his auctions. Has he ever sold a green Bromo before? If not maybe he needs to be watched in the future as he is probably quite excited about the current price and it may be too...
So this is what I have been doing for the past several months among other things. For those of you who have been concerned about the future, here is another viewpoint that you may not have heard of or considered. It is also a viewpoint that I subscribe to BTW, for those who maybe care what I...
That's interesting Laur. The dump that I dug in Staunton for over 2-1/2 years had several CW buttons and bucklles mixed in where I was finding pretty much, 1880s bottles. Staunton had a hospital that treated soldiers coming back from the War. They were treated for, among other things, adictions...
And Bumstead's first name was Dagwood and Mrs. Winslow's 1st name was Blondie. I see where you are going here, Rick, but if this stuff killed as many as 100 worms then I feel that it may have killed a few kids too...maybe not quite a hundred but a few.
Very nice bottle indeed. Here is one of mine, that that is similar and one that I have always liked. Instead of having an iron pontil, it has an open pontil and lots of whittle. This one is about 8" tall.
