    All of the real GVIII-2's have that type of pontil. Hard to say for sure from here but it looks good to me.

    Purple Blob Top Murphy Bros Bottle... Any Ideas..?

    For some reason, Syracuse, NY beers don't command high prices like comparable bottles from other cities. Not many collectors to drive prices up through competition. There were a lot of breweries and many, many variations to collect. The Murphy quart blobs tend to sell in the $15-35 range.

    An interesting thing happened while diving

    Weiss beer is more highly carbonated than lagers or ale, that is the reason for using such thick glass. Good thing the bottle didn't blow up!
