    Bottle Stand with free bottles

I went for a short drive around the old neighborhood on my lunch break the other day and spotted this old vegetable stand turned into a bottle stand. A house had just been torn down behind it and apparently these came out of the basement. All the bottles were free for the taking and most...

    Pictorial Beaver Blob

Nice one, Taylor. There must be some cool picture bottles from RI though.

    Stinson shoe full label

I agree with Eric, just a few bucks, ten if someone really likes the graphics or as a local piece. By the way there are a lot of different labelled bottles available and labels do add some value but they aren't as rare as you might think unless you're talking pre 1900 bottles. Also as a...

    Smiling skull poisons KU-19

I recently bought some poisons and other bottles and have two KU -19s, nicknamed the Smiling Skull. One has the original labeled S & D cork. Both are base embossed S&D 173., are clean and are for sale if anyone is interested. I'm asking $180.00 for the one with the cork and $160 for the other...

    Surfaceone has passed away

I'm also so sorry for your loss. I too lost my father to cancer but many years ago. Thank you for letting us know what possible symptoms to look out for-that's a beautiful and selfless gesture. My condolences to you and your family-your father will be missed and remembered here everyday. Peace.

Aqua Blue and I am new

I think that the cap as a base theory is on target. Plus the wide mouth makes sense for candy. Have no idea what it is supposed to represent....maybe a fancy cannon?

    Another Maine Mystery Shard

Thought about a bitters, but now Im not sure

Aqua Blue and I am new

Maybe it was a smaller size wine or liquor bottle that at one time had the wicker or rope wrapped around like the chianti style bottles. I'm not too sure they had screw caps though. If it had the wicker base it would stand up however.

    Please help.. Dive recovery

I've dug so many of those in most dumps in both small and large sizes, light and dark green, always in the 1900-1920s era context. I just leave them behind- not worth a thing but they are neat looking.

    Reference Question

My suggestions are based on the request for "other food type" jars. As far as milks go, there are good web sites for milk bottle collecting, as well as some books which are still available. Keep plowing through cyberspace....it's all out there if you look hard enough.
