Just starting out - Here's what I found

    Greetings all,
I'm happy to have found this forum. I just discovered that in the 500 acres behind my house there are at least three small dump piles. In them I have found many bottles, but most appear to only be from the 40's to 50's. In two hours I've found:

1 in tact Coca Cola bottle "Patent D" from the 40's
At least four other bottles as described above - broken[:@]
1 "Grapette" soda pop bottle circe 1930's
At least 2 dozen small bottles in various sizes, probably perfume bottles
    Lysol dark amber bottle
    "Texize" bottles
    "Chlorox" bottles, many
    bayer aspirin bottles
"Esquire Scuff-Kote" shoe polish bottle - history unknown
"NEHI"" bottle from the 40's, which I washed and removed the label[:@]

I still don't know what I'm doing, but it's fun.

    Anthony,
The Coke bottle is stamped "Baton Rouge, LA" on the bottom.

It's getting warm down here already. I ran across two snakes this morning during my adventure. It'll start getting thick with brush soon.

Your right about it getting thick. And don't forget about the sketters and gnats. We will get a couple more cool snaps before that happens though. Welcome to the forum[:)] What part of La. are you in?
