Are these rough bases on these early bottles pontils?

I would think 1850's for the New York bottle. In Canada we stopped in 1862. American were about 10 years earlier. Beautiful bottles.

Too bad about the umbrella ink. Nice example of hinge mold running through bottom like sandchip referenced earlier.
