Good afternoon!
Embossed on the bottom…. National Potteries Glass Division 1162
According to my online research this is a tobacco jar from 1950’s made from depression glass. (was thinking it was made in 1962.)
What is the meaning of 1162?

1162 was probably just a mold number, all the examples of these I can see online have that number. I don't think it's Depression glass though. Depression glass isn't a material, it's a description of a type of glassware popular during the Great Depression. The 1950s are a couple decades late for that.
