Dug this broken bottle in Galveston yesterday and glued the pieces I had together. Having grown up in New Hampshire, I've dug it seems like a million Sawyer's Crystal Bluing bottles from all eras. When this popped out of the ground in Galveston I was a bit blown away; definitely a version I have never seen before. Embossed on the front "Sawyer's/Precipitated/Bluing/Crystals/Ultra-Marine/Soluble" and embossed on the back "Patented Jan 11th 1881/Other Patents Pending". Of course this refers to patent number 236,634 acquired by Henry Sawyer of Chelsea, Massachusetts. Nonetheless, I was curious if anyone had seen one of these before?

Surely one of the Northeast folks has seen one of these?
