In the 48-page “Bromo-Seltzer in the Cobalt Blue Bottles” (https://sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/Bromo-Seltzer.pdf), the authors state: “Despite a significant search, we have been unable to find a single Bromo-Seltzer bottle with an O.B.CO. logo.” O.B.CO. was the Ohio Bottling Company reported to have produced Bromo Selzer bottles for just one year, 1905-06.
The logos for the O.B.CO. and the successor, the American Bottling Company (A.B.CO.) used their initials on the back heel and a numbering system on the heel mark(the base); my bottle has O B CO at the back heel and 1260/4 on the heel mark. Is this a rare find or have others seen the O B CO on the back heel of a Bromo Selzer bottle?
