I'm going to respectfully disagree with dw and say that there is no doubt in my mind that it's machine-made. The bottle is quite odd as far as production goes, and I unfortunately haven't seen one of those in my personal experiences. It's possible that the "seams" that do not reach the lip and...
https://en.wikipedia.org/...rownie_Chocolate_Drink That's a Brownie soda bottle. Most likely contained chocolate soda. I believe that particular bottle is from the 1950's; a base pic might help. It looks like the example you found is in kind of rough shape, but it's a good sign that there could...
Thanks everyone!
Yeah, unfortunately. That's the second damaged one I've acquired (The one I also have is an older variant, but it has a huge crack up the back). They aren't too hard to find as far as NH blob tops go, but they still generally run in the $20 range.
I'm just gonna nonchalantly show off some stuff I got at the Keene show this year, along with some stuff I acquired over the summer. Common sample-sized Polar Star Cough Cure, a snap-case J.L. Hunnewell Tolu Anodyne I got for an absolute steal of a price, and an unusual bottle marked "Macmahan's...
... For the first time in a while. Well, I'd call it more of a "hunting around" adventure than a digging one. Anyhow, I went exploring some steep embankments behind some houses yesterday and today. Yesterday, I didn't bring my camera, so I don't have any of what happened photo documented. I...
Had a great time at the show, nice to be back after missing it last year. Some amazing bottles there (Most of which out of my price range). :^) 3 more common meds I didn't have. Hagan's Magnolia Balm, H.T. Hembold's Genuine Fluid Extracts (Snap-case), and X-Zalia with the cattails. A common...
I went to a local auction last week and saw this there. Now, this particular auction is notorious, at least for me, for having consistently garbage bottles that come up on the block. Well, not that night, and I was excited to see something at least a little interesting. It's rather tall, BIM...
If you're referring to the V in a circle mark listed on Glassbottlemarks.com, it may in fact be a similar mark made by an older company, but not the same. Definitely a whiskey or liquor bottle, circa 1890's-pre 1920 I'd perceive, if in fact the seem stops under lip. Really digging the color! If...
Hey yeah so, I'm bored and feel like showing off several okay acquisitions from the last couple of months. Why not? It's been rather slow bottle collecting wise for me these days, mostly due to the bad weather not permitting me to get out of the house and my 2 jobs cutting me off from hitting...
Hey hey, The bottle is in fact from 1938 and was produced at the Charelston plant, you got your research spot-on! It would be impossible to pinpoint exactly what your bottle held unless a labeled specimen were located, but judging by the shape and lip finish it almost certainly was a food...
I'm perceiving it dates from the late 1870's-early 1900's by judging just from that one picture. It's unlisted on Sodasandbeers.com, and because it's a designated mold and not a slug plate, it could be a rare one.
