Gallon whiskey bottle

I found a gallon whiskey bottle that's marked "Bottled by Hiram Walker & Sons, Limited, Walkerville Canada, bottle made in Italy". It's about 19" tall with no chips or cracks. It's so big, I don't know where to display it. It looks gigantic!!

Will the oxyclean work for rust stains too? I have some old fruit jars that used to have metal rings on them for handles. They have since been removed because of bad rust and left a ring of rust around the neck of the jars. I tried soaking them and using mild liquid soap, but have been...

Sick of ebay?

I'm sick of ebay, but the options are slim to none. Anyone had any luck with "Yahoo" auctions? The seller fees are less than ebay's, but I don't think the customer base is as big if you're trying to reach buyers. Heck, I'm usually buying, and can't find what I want, ANYWHERE.[:@] Aren't...

Washington Pa. show tthe 24th

I'm planning on going and maybe take my father-in-law. I'll be looking for some specific ABCB/NSDA convention bottles from the '50's to complete my collection. What kind of fruit jars are you looking for? I hope the weather holds out. They are predicting snow flurries. [:-]

Atlas E-Z seal w glass lid

Gary, Sounds like what I have. It has a little rust around the lip where it looks like it had a wire bail for closing over the lid. I'm going to attempt to include a scan. Thanks- TJ

Atlas E-Z seal w glass lid

Just found an "Altas E-Z Seal" jar with a glass lid. It's about 4 1/2 inches tall and about the same in diameter. Any ideas on what they were used for or how old it may be?

ABCB/NSDA Commemoratives wanted

I spent some time on "bottleworld.com". I think it will be a nice site once it's completed. I also found him on ebay, but he didn't have any items up for auction. If it's not too much trouble, I would appreciate his email address to see if he has bottles or his book for sale.
