Good morning all! I've been looking at pictures of your bottles and collections, and they all look great. What do you think is the best way to get that nice finished looking shine on your bottles? I'll probobly be selling most of what I find, but I'd like to make sure the bottles look nice...

Thanks to everyone! I let them soak in the BKF for a bit over a week, and they came beautifully clean! I even had an old emerald glass insulator I thought was black, it was sooo fouled up that is now clean as anything! So, thanks again.

PS What's Listeroil?
Help!!!!! I've got a bunch of bottles with a slippery black substance on the outsides of them that I can't get to come off. I've tried vinegar, Dawn, OxyClean, I'm trying Listerene even as we spaek, I've been scrubbing my poor little dishpan hands off, but it's not budging! Any suggestions?
This is a great trick I use for all sorts of craft stuff! I haven't had it come off anything yet, and it won't damage old paper or discolor over time. I got this from a lady who has kept "town scrapbooks" for a great many years, asnd even the 50 year old books look like they were put together...
Hi all! I run a hauling company, which is where *most* of my bottles come from. If you have a bottle with a possibly toxic substance in it, like the pesticide/insecticide paint mentioned earlier, call your county landfill. They can tell you what precautions to take, and more importantly, what...
I can't seem to find a good site for help on dating Coke bottles, of which I have many! I've got a one pint bottle, a few 10 oz bottles, and some 6 1/2 oz bottles. Some have the location on the bottom, others do not. Help!!!!! SOme are aqua, others are clear. Not much rhyme or reason to them...
Lookin' great! I've got one with paint, the other three are embossed only. The background looks like a check or crosshatch pattern...grrrr I wish I had my camera right now!! That would make this easier! Anyway, no mention of Coca-cola anywhere on them. Have a great day!!

Whiskey, that was baaad! My toddler was sitting in my lap, and she jumped a foot! Oh well.
Anyway, for my ghost story...
I was pretty young, and was at a friend's house, she and I were going to ride to school together. Her dad was going crazy looking for his car keys, since he was about to...
Ah ha!!! I've found one just like the one pictured, cleaning up very nicely, no chips or scratches. On the bottom, mine says the following:
DESIGN PAT.D-98026

Any thoughts? I'd love to hear them!!! Also, might anyone want this gem? As I've said elsewhere, I'm not a collector...
Hi all! I've got one, no label or embossing, but a really cool color! I wasn't sure WHAT color it was until the oxy clean got to work. It's a square bottle, but it's a really light, almost apple green. It's got a concave bottom, like a champagne bottle, but I've never seen a square champagne...
