I picked up this crate over the weekend, but to date, have been unable to find any history on this company.
I was hoping someone on this forum might have come across a bottle from said company and knows a little bit about it.
TU
The volume of the bottle is indicated to be 1 Pint 11 Ounces.
I did a google search and I couldn't find anything about the Brooklyn Bottling company
Is this a blob top bottle ?
Thanks !
I picked up a bottle over the weekend that had the James Butler name embossed on it.
(actual embossing is:
James Butler
N.Y. Inc
inside a circle)
Does anyone have any background info on this company ?
One side of the bottle reads:
WEHMHOEFER BROS.
CO.
111.
CONSELYEA ST
BROOKLYN.E.D.
CONTENTS 9 OZ.
The other side of the bottle reads:
REGISTERED
<COMPANY LOGO>
1892
All this bottle says is : THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD The bottom of the it has NO 2 written on it. Can anyone comment on how old this bottle is and maybe who made it ?
Thanks. I found some info on E. Matthews, but I figured asking members of this forum for any other info couldn't hurt. Any idea what a bottle from this time period is worth ? That's the million dollar question !
