hey bottleman, if you are still there ... I see some soda bottles here that are embossed but my question is what does ACL mean?
I am new at this stuff. Pardon my ignorance...

Thanks Gatorman,
I have one of the narrow ones you displayed and one thicker one. But I see much value in the kit you showed. I'll have to pick one up for sure. I also have some Muriatic acid around so i'll trya weak dilution as well.

Huff got it right...
I worked on an old dresser once with similar type pulls, usually accompanied with an escutcheon against the wood, and the screw goes through the drawer then the escutcheon and tightens on the threads.

Hi Sourthern Maine Diver,
To reiterate your point... Have you ever tried to swim in Maine water? Even York turns my lips blue and my feet go numb alter 3 seconds in it! The children have no choice but to play marbles, and if they lose to throw them into the water!

Real nice collections!
Here are some of mine, all the rest of you, I can't identify any except for one which is the Bennington brown shooter 15/16 ". It seems to be in pretty good shape.

P.S. I still have that bottle!
Hey everyone,
I am new to all of this, but what I found to work,( at least in my opinion) pretty well to clean the inside of my bottles is this ... take some table salt pour it in the bottle and add a little water, ( enough to slosh around the salt but not enough to absorb it ) and shake for...
[:)][:)] Thanks for the info Mike. I'd hate to get kicked out of here for stomping on a thread!!!!! I guess I barely made it under the wire with this one!!!! I do think I have some older bottles though, but I'll post them on the appropriate thread! My Lydia doesn't have an oz. designation at all...
Thanks folks,
I know it needs some cleaning, but I didn't know it was worth THAT much!!!!! What do you think? 20's early 30's?
When I saw the label I figured it was on the reverse side W. It seemed to me there is a logical place for a paper label there. I guess I wasn't as fortunate to...
LOL Warren,
I had spent years in the excavation industry in Ct. It was tremendous what i'd dug up and also regrettable what I'd broken with an excavator. Usually if I'd see something in my bucket I'd stop and get out and poke around. some people thought I was crazy, but I thought it was fun...
Thanks Warren,
I'll try that next time. I adjusted the quality to standard on my camera but the quality is sure sacrificed. How large of a file am I limited to?
