    Can anyone identify what this is and approx. date? It says "Seed Filter Co N.Y." on one side and "No 8 Pat." on the other. It is not a bottle as such, since it has a threaded finish on both ends, and so is open through-and-through. Thanks.

    I stumbled on a bottle dump in the woods behind my rural property. Found some intact bottles amongst lots of broken stuff.
