It is 7.5" tall, the mouth opening is 1.5". Put water in the jar and then measured it. Up to the shoulder it held about 3.5 cups, a little less. My lovely wife then told me that was wrong, imagine that, and that I should of filled it to the bottom of the applied top. She did that and gained some...- odds2ends

Thank you so much for the info. We had no idea that, what we thought was a bottle, would be worth more than the marbles we got but had a feeling that it wasn't just a run of the mill piece. But didn't think it would be worth as much as it has a potential to be it seems. Thank you so much again...- odds2ends

Internal threads? like in the mouth of the thing? There are two tabs on the inside of the opening. Let's see if I can get a picture to load. As you can also see there is one chip in this bottle/jar and it is on the lip on the right. Probably makes is not a good find.- odds2ends

We wanted to add that it looks like the top of this bottle was stuck on after the bottle body was made? It has two tabs on the inside of the opening that we assume would of helped hold down a stopper or top of some sort. Does that make any sense?? We will try and post some pictures later today...- odds2ends

We got this bottle at auction because it was filled with marbles we wanted. Then we tried to look up this bottle and the only thing we found was on this site so we joined hoping to get some information on this thing. We finally figured out how to add a picture.
