Thanks again for the bday wishes. Didnt get to eat the crappie, they were too small so we threw them back. It was just nice to get back out on the water and enjoy the sun and the day after the looooong winter. But I'm hearing the snows coming back to visit us. Thats par for the course here in...
Thanks for the birthday wish Julie! Had a great day. Did some crappie fishing and scratched around a old foundation. My two favorite hobbies in one day!
I like digging alone just for the peace and quiet. My husband worries about me too. We live out in the boonies so my biggest fear would be hunters, so I always wear hunter orange when I go out. Its nice to have some one that cares and understands the "I have to go dig" compulsion!
Thanks for the "welcome aboard", I hope the ride never ends! I would love to dig with someone that knows what they are doing, unlike me, scratching around like a chicken[:D].
Im a newbie. I've just dug around here where I live. Just old foundations that were here before they flooded the lake. I havent really gotten into anything serious, not that I dont want to. My friend introduced me to digging and I will confess.......the first time I dug a bottle, an obsession...
Someone gave me a can thats almost pristine. Its a Cherikee red soda, made by cotton club. The tab is still intact but the can is empty. Is it worth anything?
Thats what they figured they were, but my friend said in 40 years of excavating he has never seen anything like these before. We were trying to see if anyone knew how old they might be. If I can get a answer for him, then maybe....just maybe... I can worm my way into his shed where he has all...
My neighbor has a excavating business and they dug up a slew of these. They are 21 1/4' tall are glazed and look handmade. Can anyone tell me what they are, how old they are and if they are worth anything? Thanks in advance.
