You're welcome. It was in that exact Spirit that we posted those PDF's; and quite frankly; I am surprised that this site does not have a section with such reference resources available.

T Thanks for the info. We are members of most of the bottle and jar groups on facebook, and have posted photos to them long before we came here. No one there knew anything certain.

They aren't thread top. Compression or glass insert we think, but which?

As for the Northwest Glassworks items; we have a small varied collection. We have at least four of these. What type of closure did this jar take? We would like to complete them for our own kitchen deco usage.

Some the jar lips are "Squared Off", while others are "Beveled", or "Tapered". We noted that difference ourselves.

What about these? Same questions, as well as have you ever saw one before? What do you know about this jar design? We have around a dozen of them in colorless. Ball, Owens-Illinois, Hazel-Atlas and Anchor-Hocking are the manufactures of those that we have looked at. We may have examples by...

What year of production is this? The two digit code to the right seems to indicate 1924. Also, what type of jar is it? What was this type of jar used for?

    Possible tobacco jars.

We found these a few weeks ago and thought them to be pill bottles. While cleaning some usable vintage lids from the same dig, we recovered a lid with a partial logo that appears to be a tobacco advertisement, and perfectly fits one of the amber jars. Tobacco jars are amber, so it's probable...

The Acid/Clorox Method of removing metallic stains from Glass and Plastic.

I am a Precious Metal Refiner. This is the process that I use to recover Gold from Glassware. It works just as well for Iron stains. Keep those Gold Plated glass fragments that you find out digging. I can and do process such material for 1/2 the recovery. Sincerely; Rick & Carrie Antique &...

You are one of the experts that we have came across in our research of the makers marks on items we have found. If we have a PDF on it, then we have at least one item from that manufacturer. It is a pleasure to be able to actually chat with you. We have been to your site. We understand your...

Has anyone ever saw any of these?

    I'm sure it was.

We have a few intact snap on caps that we have collected while out digging. We'll get them out, take some photos, and post them here.

We did not claim authorship of any of those PDF's. We stated that it is "A Collection" of PDF's. Each PDF contains the authors name(s) and their resources. So why the discord? Nowhere did we claim to have wrote anything. They are a collection of PDF's that we found on the internet due to our...
