    I see you have a passion for inks too. Have you ever seen or heard of a Underwoods master ink in a green, hard to describe color, with a screw top that is ground? I have one, and paid up dearly for it. I'm just wondering if anyone else has one, or seen one. I have only 60 different types of inks...

    Duh, just read your post again, sorry. Was this found near where you live? Did it come out of an old dump where most everything was hand made, or did you find it along with some newer ABM items?

    privy digging probe

    Not sure where you could buy one. You can make one fairly simple if you have the tools. Go to a car wrecking yard and ask for a trunk lid tension rod off of an older car. Thread the one end for a handle and round the other end for the probe tip. Good luck finding your privy!

    Is this considered damage?

    That's a tough call. I guess if it depends on if you are the guy selling it or the guy wanting to buy it! Technically though, I would call that damaged.

    Carter's Ink with pour spout, olive green

    I've seen that color frequently, but the thing I noticed is that the lettering was running vertically rather than running along the shoulder horizontally. Nice piece. Your story reminds me of the time I found a nice blob top beer in my back yard that was being filled in. I found it in between...
