Wondering if I found something here

Wow...How did that hole not back-fill with water....that looks like 2 or 3 feet from the water's edge? ...bet the hole filled with water during the night....a one day hole or bust.

My first Bottle find of the Year. March 2024.

I've dug out and around a lot of roots for coins....roots are rough. I've grinded my bladed shovel's edge to near razor sharp to jump and cut through any 3" or less roots. Roots slow the process but all good things are laced with hardwork and patience...else we wouldn't appreciate the find as...

Old Soft Drink Bottles Vintage Antique Coke - 7 Up - Dr Pepper

Well said...most old bottles are $8.00 to $15.00. max, unless they are ultra rare or have a great rare color, like Leon's treasured collection. Now I like glass/ceramic insulators (power/electrical) but i would never start a collection from scratch, there's so many great varieties and colors, it...

Old Soft Drink Bottles Vintage Antique Coke - 7 Up - Dr Pepper

No, you did good pricing high and then lowering....that's what you're supposed to do. I've been late to a few parties- (end of auction/sale) where bottles were sold for $40. that I had to track down their new owners to offer them $300 to $500. I appreciate rarer coins and bottles to be listed...

To clean or not to clean?

No, I would never tumble a thin uneven bottle like that one. Absolutely I would clean it to prestine condition instead of leaving it natural. Soak it in 30% vinager with Dawn dish soap for three days. It'll get rid of the lime and rust stains. Then use a good bottle brush inside the small...

Cattle ranch or antique treasure farm????

He's talking about ..does your metal detector have discrimination (notch filtering), ability to cancel out the iron-ferrous versus non-ferrous (usually the good -stuff$$). You will want to hunt on non-ferrous first to get the copper, brass, silver, aluminum....tokens, copper and silver coins...

Cattle ranch or antique treasure farm????

I once had to wait two months to remove a half buried blob-top bottle from the frozen ground. The anticipation not knowing it it was complete or not....it was. Joy is when the ground becomes soft again.

She brought me 25 ( 3-W.M & B. and 22-M&M) Sand Bank bottles from N.Y. to Houston, Texas and we meet half-way between Dallas and Houston to make the transaction. I've concluded these bottles were a "hoard of returnables" that were left near a delapidated...

Very good...do you know where or how she came by them?
