DeepSeaDan: Regretfully my time for those adventures have expired. I can only experience that excitement through stories that people, such as yourself pass on. I am 85 years old with disabling CMT. (Charcot Marie Tooth) It is an inherited peripheral neuropathy with no cure. I also have...

Tin Salvage, Straits of Taiwan, 1985 ( a deepsea yarn...)

DeepSeaDan: Since an early age I have fantasized about finding Spanish gold laden wrecks, I have never been brave enough to explore the deep, I can only experience the excitement through the eyes of others such as yourself. I too, would love to purchase an autographed book. What a life you...

    Perfume, vanity, and barber bottles

CanadianBottle: Thank you for your response. I am now in the process of cleaning bottles I dug back in 1970's. I have so many to sort out into different categories and I wasn't sure if I should spend as much time with those particular ones. I know people love to see photos of bottles, I do...

    Perfume, vanity, and barber bottles

Wanted to know if dug perfume bottles ranging in size from a half dollar and up, clear glass, cobalt, cut glass, frosted, some with lids, most not. Vanity bottles, barber bottles are collectible and have any value.

How I clean bottles with Muriatic Acid.

If muratic method won't rid bottles of iridescence, what if anything will?

Finds of the day and precarious question.

Jimmy: I feel your excitement for wanting to discover the treasures the site may hold, BUT..... even if there are no 'NO TRESPASSING' signs, you very well could be arrested and fined. I bought 103 acres of forested land. I had signs along the road stating 'NO TRESPASSING' and a couple times I...

    The bottles of Warsaw Indiana

gdog68. As of today I still have probably 200 - 300 more bottles to do, then maybe 50 - 60 cold cream jars and maybe 50 fruit jar glass/zinc/pottery lids to do. I have about 30+ that have rust and other stains that I am going to try using some muratic acid to clean. I haven't lived in Fort...

    The bottles of Warsaw Indiana

gdog68. Very impressive display. I was an on and off digger back in late 1960's - 1970's. Originally from Fort Wayne, I walked plowed fields along the three rivers looking for Indian artifacts and digging dumps along the river banks. In 1983 we purchased a property on the east side of Clear...

My first Bottle find of the Year. March 2024.

Thanks Leon. It may be hard for me to find then. It is 103 acres total here in Indiana. The whole area where the old house foundation was has been leveled off and seeded into 18 acres of yard. The old brick lined cistern I have been digging up with the bobcat is about 30 feet from the old...
