The Most Expensive Poison Bottle

Mallinckrodt as listed on the label had a location in ST.Louis right on the Mississippi River next to the McKinley Bridge. There was always a ripe chemical odor when you went across the bridge. I actually remember being treated for a sore inside my mouth with I am sure a diluted mixture. Tasted...

Agree, my historic flasks usually have little wear on the bottom where as my more utilitarian bottles have more wear. I have read that sometimes wear is faked make the reproductions look more authentic.

Thanks for your reply. I know many of the bottles are reproduced. I am fairly confident mine is original given the rough pontil plus it has been in our family for 3 generations. Part of a fairly extensive collection started by my grandfather and I am age 79.
