ok the first bottle says Phipps Brewers Northampton the second bottle says J. Eckersly Sterling F.B.B, Estb 1886 trade mark,Bolton. ill try to get some better pics

Questions about possible dig site

yea there are bottles all around the surface and I found alot 2-3 inches under the soil so I dug that deep hole but I'll try a few more test holes and thanks

Questions about possible dig site

found a possible dump site with some common good for target practice bottles. So i figured i could dig under and possibly find some old bottles, so i dug and dug and didnt find anything. So when do you draw the line of there not being any bottles and just not digging far enough, i dug straight...

ok one other question, when digging, how do you know when to draw the line on when there arent any bottles in that spot or you just havent dug far enough?
