Diggers and friends, I am looking for dug doll parts for an art project I am working on, particularly heads, but at this point am interested in anything that folks may have. I can trade nice WA state pharmacy bottles of which I have duplicates of, other druggists, common to scarce mason jars, or...
Hey jar team, have a Woodbury Glass Insert with Minicap to trade for:
A midget mason zinc lid and a midget zinc band (that would fit a Midget Masons Improved jar)
Or
A nice embossed druggist or two from your home town!
Need to re-unite this lid and cap with a jar that needs it ;-)
All, I have been up and down Red Book #10 and can't find an actual listing that calls out this specific jar below but quite a few are similar. Before I get too excited, here is what I am seeing:
Small Letter Mason's Patent Nov 30th 1858 Jar
The th is NOT underlined
Color is a Green/Apple...
This jar was an exceptional find from a dig yesterday, RB 1640-1 MASON (Reversed N-straight line), in a light green.
"Unpriced" in the newest RB.... D'OH!
By far this is one of my most bizarre acquisitions as it came with another auction item I was pursuing, so have no clue what this is.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?
Any east coasters or other collectors out there know anything about these?
Tod has two of five listed, but other information on the company and dates seems to be non-existent. Anyone have any bottle books that may have an entry or information?
All, I am interested in gaining some insight into what these two bottles on the right may be, as I just recieved them in a box with some other auction items I purchased via the web and had initially disregarded them in the auction photos but now that I look at them they are both pontil marked...
Needed: Really Good Bottle Probe
Wanted: Really Good Bottle Probe with level 20 magical "find the privy or dump" properties
Really Wanted: Really Good Bottle Probe with level 20 magical "find the privy or dump" and level 30 "make work party and hole invisible" properties
No really, I...
Yeah, the slicks, broken, and misc stuff etc.
I find the 'relics' part of the find often more exciting than the bottles, but in this case I was really board and either had an inspiration of artistic brilliance or likely breathed in some heavy PCB's in the last hole I was digging in and am...
So finally, after years of collecting, I was able to hook up a few weeks ago with some local jedi masters of digging who were willing to take me on as an apprentice! While I don't have any photos of the actual digs in process, the three times I have gone out thus far have resulted in some very...
Not sure how common these are but thought I would post this, as it was found in my first "official" dig in a 1920's trash pit about 4-5' underground this past Friday!
I kept all of the inserts, which mostly get thrown back in when the hole gets filled, and saw this reverse F when I was...
Acquired this the other day and I apologize in advance for the poor photos, it is a dark cobalt glass, so I will try and take some shots again if and when the Sun comes out again.
From what I can see, one side of the flask says: Upper Lisle Lodge 388 F. & A. M. N.Y.
The other side of the...
Found this one today in a Coffee Shop/Junk store. Not really a soda collector but thought it was cool from a local standpoint and historical standpoint as well. If they were to release these again, they would have to cut off more of the mountain peak!
Folks, I would appreciate any help in determining whether this Baby Face Milk from Hellertown, Pa is real or a reproduction. The woman I purchased it from remembered if from the early 60's but you know how that can go......
This was an interesting find today. I don't know much about UK bottles at all, but this was a really neat one. From what I have been able to find from the websites below, I believe this to be an early three piece mold bottle: Bottle Body and Mold Seams.
If someone could confirm for me that...
