I can't seem to find a Red book listing for this although I know this isn't the Ball forum I got it at a yard sale when I was younger.. the threads are strange they fit both the zinc and reg lid but the reg fits better. It is a Ball perfect mason. No other markings on the jar, and a 5 on the...

[8D]I figured out this picture stuff. Here are a few more pics of the two jars, half gallons and a handblown "martini"? glass. I dug it up at an old homestead. Does anyone know anything about the Ball Ideal half gallons? I am waiting for my redbook 10 now but I have a feeling they aren't in it...

This is the other jar, it has an odd curve around the Ball, a line in the glass, perhaps a ghost jar? Double seams, a 7 on the bottom. I was very surprised to find out it is smokey, or charcoal color. They are both not going to have beans in them so I can see them now. JC
Well, imagine my surprise when I emptied the beans out of these half gallon jars and washed them up to find that this one is a light apple green, dark at the bottom, Ball Ideal, no patent date. Lots of small bubbles and crooked seams. It has a number two on the bottom. I too am waiting for a...
