An obvious replaced top. Cut off neck is peeking out over top of slid over new top. Pin test? Epoxy hasn't been used in years. Try hyxtal. Notice last picture of top is completely out of focus. Make your own decision there is no neck.
Hi,
WOW! Some great sodas especially the EAGLE ribbed swirl and the cobalt Diehl from Phili. Great bottles.
I have to confess though that one of your pictures REALLY bothered me. The Bridgeton Glassworks Soda that you bought from Jim H. at a glassworks auction I believe is not "right"...
I might as well add my 2 cents worth about Glassworks Auctions. I bid on a cobalt, I.P., Charleston Eagle Soda. It was reported to be in excellent condition. Many of you probably already know that a great number of these sodas were found years ago all with their tops chopped off. So, many that...
Thank you Morbious fod, (thought I was challenged for a while). Yes, I have been through; 3, log in / password changes over time. But, since I am trying to dig a new town I needed some info PDQ. There are lots of sites on Google, but not one has had a log in / password that would currently work...
Google it ????
The log on and passwords are not "public knowledge" and are only available to libraries and universitys. If anyone can help, please email me. Buzzkutt if you have such a password and log on, please share. On the first post, rwcw 1040 noted that the old log on and password have...
Can anyone help me out for a log on and password for proquest? Send me a personal email or post, please.
Terrible thing to lose right before Christmas.........
Thanks,

Thank you everyone for any positive input, in trying to answer my questions regarding the pipe heads.
Seem's like the general opinion was Zachary Taylor for the orange, fired pipe. Much thanks to Surfaceone who confirmed this with articles (with pictorial proof) that this was indeed Taylor...
Hello Everyone,
Need some help with any information on these 2 pipe bowls dug from a 1840-1865 privy. Sealed brick liner with 95% of the bottles pontiled. Found these 2 pipe bowls.
#1 Figural face pipe, orange, fired glaze, very good condition. Very similar design of the pipe on the cover...

I very rarely post on this forum for a number of good reasons. But, I had to reply to this topic. Doug is exactly right (as usual). [;)]
The only thing I could add is instead of a "few idiots", all it takes is ONE idiot to ruin it for everybody.
Back in the 70's, one could...
Hi Druggist Nut,
Ahhhh, you have 2 territorial hutch soda's, my friend.
1) Couple of different styles exist of the EWA, (not rare); some with and some without H.T. embossed. Around $50.... or so.
2) The other from Oklahoma (I.T.- Indian Territory), from a town (Poteau, OK), very near the...
Thanks for everyones feedback re:Sanborn Maps!!!
I found them useful to
1) Establishing old property lines.
2) Determine exactly when, additions to structures were built.
3) Find location of stables.
4) A easy reference for business locations.
In this part of the country they very...
Now I finally have a answer as to what happened at the Sanborn Site. It was only a matter of time before some fool or fool's ruined this for everybody. That's why the log on information and URL should never have been posted on this site to begin with. Moderators? DUH! What did you think was...
Hi Everybody,
I have used the UMI sanborn splash page for months, however today the residence/welcome will not allow me access. Anyone have a different log on to use?
Thanks,
Sam
guntherhess quote ([Keep in mind we were discussing SELLING through an auction house not BUYING though one.)
Agreed, I went a tiny bit overboard on personal experiences. But they were both buying and selling experiances. This should be about selling.

Hi Everyone,
Blade, what druggistnut and tigue710 both say, are VERY TRUE regarding the bottle auction sites. They could care less about you. What they do care about is making as much money as possible, period. They make money on both the seller and the buyer. In most cases 15% both...
