How do you suggest i clean this???

I have a few of these old flasks that i would like to make all nice and shiny however the lid is very narrow and hard to get anything into. I've had them sitting in the works toilet bowl cleaner and detergent for weeks and it never seems to do much to help. Any suggestions...

Stuck in 1930's

Newbie Question about finding Privy's

I'm located in Southern Maryland and was wondering how i could go about finding where old privy's are located. Most of the digging i do are old trash piles that i found while hiking through the woods. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks Bruce
