Heres what I found out about the end of the color:
Ball discontinued the use of their famous "Ball blue" glass in 1937.
They had produced and controlled this color since the late 1890's and
it was caused by the minerals in the sand they used in their glass

I picked up this Ball jar and the script matches the 1910-1923 examples except mine does not have a tailed or dropped "a". It's also ribbed which I understand they started in in 1933-34. If anyone out there can properly date this jar it would be appreciated.
It's funny you mentioned the devil. There is a devilish figure in the cup on the very bottom of this bottle. I found this very strange and never saw anything like it before.
Thanks for the information.
I did a search on Google and here's what I came up with:

Added a pic of the back. Very hard to read. May try it in the sunlight tomorrow.
Just wondering if this bottle is a reproduction or not.I can usually tell at garage sales if the stuff is new or old but this guy had a mixture of both.

Dutch isn't my first language and bottle collecting isn't my main hobby.
It reads ERVEN LUCAS POLST LOOTS for sure on the back.
I will take a pic soon and post it.

I recently picked this bottle up at a second hand store.I am curious as to whether it is a modern reproduction or if it is a real old bottle.I am usually pretty good at knowing the age of something but this one has me fooled.Amsterdam 1 litre imprinted near the top.
Thanks to all who have an...
