First dig!
This is what I found on my first dig. Not sure if there is anything of value or even what they may have been used for (except for the obvious), just really happy that I found some bottles!! Any help would be appreciated
I just dug my first privy, went down about 5.5 feet and found a wood lining around it. It is four pieces of wood and seems like it is about the size of four 2X4's (one on each wall). Is it possible that this is the bottom? Not sure if I should keep going or not. Its getting pretty hard to find...- jcoll98

Has anyone ever found a privy only a few feet away from the back of a house? I'm just curious. I probed around the back of a house and it went in fairly easy in two spots, one right next to the other. I started digging and am down about 4 feet.
