    I'm pretty sure the snap case held the bottle higher up on the body. My guess is that there was some debris in the mold from a previous use that reacted badly with the hot gather.

    I'm afraid not, I selfishly bought it for me. By the way, great site about your digging exploits and finds. Great article in the magazine also. I used to do a fair amount of digging in the Boston area and I miss it. No time for it these days.

    Funny thing. I have one of these in a whittly yellow olive. I've had it for a long time. Bought it at the Keene show. It's nice to see another.

    The bottles on the right and left are 18th century New Jersey possibly pre revolution. The middle bottle I feel is New England, probably Connecticut, 1790-1810

    Thanks for looking. I to am from New England and and early stuff from our area is what I'm most interested in although I've always liked this stuff too.

    It is what's called Midwestern glass. Produced in western Pennsylvania east central Ohio and West Virginia.
