Hello again Lynette
As for the value on your bottle i would imagine not more than $10.
I find most soda bottles from around that age don't have much value, there're are some though that can be quite valuable to the right collector.
Lynette i live in Toronto and have been digging and...
Hi Lynette
Your bottle is for sure a Toronto soda bottle.
The York Springs soda bottles are very common in this area.
York was one of the early names of Toronto.
The age 1900 - 1910.

Great finds Dave
The crock jug is a beauty and as Deepwoods said it's worth fixing.
I was at a auction in Mitchell Ont a couple of weeks ago and the local crocks were going for a good buck.
Keep posting those pics.

Hi Dave
Here's some of the bottles i've been finding in Toronto.
Sorry about the quality of the pics, the good camera is not working and
the awful camera is living up to its name.
Cheers

Hello all
I joined the U.K. forum a couple months ago and it's been a struggle.
Most of my post have been about the restrictive nature of that site.
I realise that some people are not prolific posters and i'm one of them.
But i think most would agree that these forums are a great way to...
Hi John
My digging buddies and i use shovels, forks and sometimes a heavy pick if metal or to clear an overhang.
But remember that if your digging deep please have someone with you.
Good luck on your digs.

I dug this ink recently in Toronto, Canada
It's ten sided, shear top.
The embossing reads G. Toirays Anti-Corrosive.
I believe this ink to be British.
I read in an older bottle book that they made a cheaper ink from iron filings
that would corrode the paper in time.
Would anybody have any info on a lid i recently dug in Toronto.
I suspect it's british but not sure as it's the first i dug.
The lid reads, MILLER'S PREPARED GLYCERINE.
The transfer is black.

Hi Glenn
I believe the bottle is british.
Fairly common, we find them in Canada.
There's one for sell on ebay, check the link below.
Hope this helps.

Hi Nickelso
Welcome to the forum.
I'm not a collector of beers , but i have a bit of info that might help.
Kuntz was a brewery starting around 1900 up until the 40s.
In the Unitts price guide it shows a amber crown top with embossing from 1908.
Not sure if it's a BIM or ABM.
The prices was...
Thank you Norm
Well 30 odd years ago Nova Scotia was a lot more rural than it is now, but you must of had some great seafood. I live in Toronto in the great lakes region of Ontario, it's Canada's largest city.
The city is very multicultral with great dining and entertainment, so if your wife...
Hello Brian
It's amazing the stuff buried in the downtown core.
There's still areas in the city with remnants of the old dumps, Cherry street being one example.
It's tough digging but some neat stuff from around 1890 - 1915.
The other sites are more random such as construction sites, but...
