Okay, i just went to my first auction ever....Really cool...
And one thing that i saw that caught my eye was a blue glass bottle....It is 5 inches tall, and two wide. On the bottom it says, "Genuine Phillips" and on the side of that is an M and a 14. And below is "MADE IN USA"

Today i started my first real dig...i found alot of broken glass, some chips of brick, a horse shoe, a marble and this... i dont know what it is, i found a gross black thing inside that i immediatley disposed of. There was a screw on top that fell apart when i opened it. it's about one inch...
tomorrow i start my first real excavation at 10 O'clock....Its on my property at where i think was either a small dump, or a privy. Any suggestions for a young new digger? The deepest i've gone was about two feet, but i dont know what to do after that. Any suggestions would be Awesome...
I just posted my first bottles i found under my house in a crawlspace this afternoon...
So i got interested and went in the backyard with a shovel and went A'diggin' and after about a foot of dirt i found a nice bottle or more of jar of what i think was ink, (My house was an old school house)...
My family bought an old schoolhouse to renovate about 9 years ago. I was only 6 at the time and the only one who could comfortably get into and out of the small crawl space. So anything i found was mine to keep, so now that i'm 15 and interested in antiques i was wondering what you could say...
