    Found this boring bottle in the river the other day and wondered why they made them with this projection into the base of the bottle. It goes in about 1& half inches. The bottle is green, has 2 seams up to the base of the top. The top itself also has 2 seams but it must have been applied...

    stoneware ink?

    Hi there from Wales I agree with Tandy about the stoneware bottles,We buy them for a quid or two in car boot sales. They look ok but can be found on a lot of dumps & river beds. Barnidoyll.

    Thanks OLDUMP for your comments, no the aqua bottle only has numbers and no letters. Has anyone heard of KEYSTONE as embossed on this bottle ,I dont know if its beer os whiskey or what. I do know its only 50s or 60s but i would appreciate your help...again. BARNIDOYLL.

    I BOUGHT A FEW ON EBAY AFTER BECOMING INTERESTED ON FINDING ABOUT HALF A DOZEN AND YES I DO KEEP THEM ON THE WINDOWSILL.....ONE OF THE FEW SPACES ALLOWED BY MY BETTER HALF.
