    Thanks, thought that the cross or x may be a company symbol or trademark. Have seen bottles like this but never with something like that.

    Curious about cross on bottom

    Found this in a creek in Texarkana, Tx. Figure it is pre 1890's ale or something similar but was curious about the cross embossed on the bottom.

    Any info on J Hofsess

    Looking for info on J Hofsess bottler. Cracked one is in hutch book, rare. Other is not. Can't find anything on the bottler in Texarkana or surrounding county public or business directories from 1880's onward. No luck on internet searches either. Embossing shown is all that's on the bottles.
