Any help on a Ship in a Bottle?

Can anyone give me any ideas on this ship in a bottle. The bottle looks hand made, 5" T x 2 5/8" W x 1". Seam stops before top and has twist marks where the seam disappears. Thanks! kat http://img.inkfrog.com/pix/tntgoodies/Dscn5545.jpg...

    Union Flask.... authentication, age, value?

Thanks a lot guys. I really appreciate the info. The seam lines on the lip are opposite the lines on the sides of the bottle. Seem to have been fire polished which may account for the drippiness where the very top part of the neck seems to meet the rest of the neck and bottle. which is...

    Union Flask.... authentication, age, value?

Can anyone please help me authenticate this? Approximate age and value would be great if possible. Looks like the seam definitely stops most of the way up the neck and the rest of the neck and lip have been applied. 8 1/4" tall. No markings on the back. Inside appears sort of optic. 13...

Here's an amazing find, what is it?

Thank you for the help! I can only think to add two more points- the glass is much thinner than I would look for in an ink, and the top 1-1 1/4" of the sides just below shoulder are rounded. There are two seam mold marks traveling up the shoulder toward the lip but don't quite make it, and then...

Here's an amazing find, what is it?

Also, the glass is wavy and pimply, but not rough. there are a few tiny bubbles. I don't know much about open or dip molds other than a description I read of them. That would make this an old bottle, but I am probably coming out of left field on this one. Any thoughts are welcome please. :)

Here's an amazing find, what is it?

This bottle stands 5" high and is 2 1/2" slant across bottom. This glass is very irridescent. Seems to be the right size for a master ink, but I know very little. Six sided makes it hard to tip though. Still the debacle.

Here's an amazing find, what is it?

Though having a signature certainly doesn't lend toward consumer goods of any significant production, I had wondered if the green lip could be functional? Perhaps identifying a certain type of chemical or medicine? Just some food for thought. I don't know anything about bottles, but I do know a...

Here's an amazing find, what is it?

Yes, the pontil has been finely ground and impressed, causing the inside bottom to be concave. The bottle is definitely older than newer, I know it is difficult to tell by just photos. My first inclinition is the same as yours as far as the sun purpling goes. Seems like a more honest amethyst...

Here's an amazing find, what is it?

Hi, I am trying to ID this bottle. It is blown molded, and I believe the lip is applied. The pontil is smooth ground, kind of like a donut pontil. Bottom is scratch signed, not sure if color is amethyst or sun-purple, not sure which. Side View ~ TOP ~ Bottom ~ Etched Close-up Thanks...
